Five Bluewave members travelled out to Nenagh in Co Tipperary in Ireland to compete in poomsae at the 1st Chungdokwan Ireland Open Championships. This was a chance for several of the club’s instructors to have a chance to compete and continue to challenge t
hemselves. As this was a fairly small (and very friendly) event, the divisions were different to normal and afforded more competition opportunity with our members completing up to 11 poomsae!
All of our competitors medalled in their divisions and there were particularly good performances from Coleen to win the Masters (4th Dan+) division and Rachel to take a Bronze in her first competition for several years.

If this becomes a regular event we may well look to take a team out again in 2019.
