Can you believe it’s already been nearly a month since the 9th Bluewave Poomsae Championships! Thank you to all the coaches, referees, volunteers and supporters, who have contacted us with such kind words and positive feedback from our 9th Bluewave Poomsae Championships.
Our next Competition Poomsae Training will be Saturday 10th October . 12.00-2.00pm All Grades, with extra training from 2.00-3.30pm for Dan Grades (Black Belts) only. Open to all grades but with a minimum age of 10 unless invited to attend by one of the coaches. All participants must be confident in at least their first poomsae – Taegeuk El Jang.These sessions are focused on the development needs of those either already competing at Poomsae competitions, or intending to compete in the future.The format will be one hour of work on basic techniques followed by poomsae practice to improve both accuracy and performance. These quarterly Competition Poomsae Training sessions are free to all Bluewave members. Other British Taekwondo members are very welcome, £10 for the session.

This is the final call for the 2026 National Poomsae Championships which will take place the University of Nottingham on the weekend of the 31st October and the 1st November. Dan grades will compete on the Saturday, and Kup grades and Para on the Sunday.
