KTAA Tournament – Detroit USA, 30th May

We have received an invitation to send a team to compete at the Master Eric Rose Memorial Championships in Detroit, USA on the 30th May.  Master Eric Rose was an instructor with the Korean Taekwondo Association of America who died tragically three years ago drowning whilst trying to save someone who had got into difficulties swimming.  He was a good friend of our club and someone we had trained with several times.
The tournament will include both sparring and poomsae.  Sparring will be on PSS for all grades and ages.  For black belts sparring will be double elimination so everyone will get at least two matches.
Obviously this trip will not be cheap as the flights alone will be £600-£700, so if you are interested you will need to budget £1,000.
We already have some interest, but would be great to take a few more.  So if you are interested please contact Gerry asap and by Sunday 22nd March at the latest.  You will need to make a payment of £500 to confirm so that we can book the flights.
At this point we expect to fly out on Thursday 28th May, returning on Monday to the UK on Tuesday 2nd June.
If you would like further details please send us an email.
