National Poomsae Championships 2014

The club took a recond 5 competitors to the 2014 British Taekwondo Poomsae Championships on the 8th and 9th March in Crawley.  Coleen, Sian, Amy, Bradley and Rachel competed in their repsective solo divisions with Sian and Bradley competing for the first time in the synchronised pairs.  The standard of competition was very high and the event attracted a record entry with large and tough divisions.  So despite several personal best scores, we were not in medal contention but everyone showed significant improvement from the focused training over the last year and should be happy with their personal achievements.

Gerry and Amy also judged on the 8th March, and the insight from judging will help feedback into the training over the coming months.

There will be plenty of further opportunities to compete in Poomsae this year and maybe aim for next year’s Championships, so why not come to the next Poomsae competition training on Saturday 5th March, 2.00-4.00pm at VBC.
