Personal Protective Equipment

The club constantly strives to enhance our teaching of the club syllabus and the development of all of our students in all aspects of the Martial Art of Taekwondo.

At the same time we take the safety of our students seriously and work tightly under the guidance provided by our national governing body, British Taekwondo.   Part of this guidance is for all students to wear Personal Protective Equipment in activities that involve contact.  All students who have been training for 6 months or more will be expected to own their own shin and arm guards and to bring this equipment with them to all classes.

The WTF approved equipment can be purchased through the club at £15 for both of the pair of arm and shin guards. We are aware that in some cases this may cause financial hardship for some families and where this is the case, please consider applying for a funding application under the Club Bursary Policy details of which are available through your instructor.

For students aged 4 – 5, we are unable to source WTF approved PPE for the physical size of this age group. We have therefore sourced an alternative for use in the one class for this age group only.
