Bluewave had such a great weekend.
We followed our regular Saturday class, with a two-hour Senior Grade training session kicking off the focus for the December Dan Grading. An excellent turnout of our senior grades worked through poomsae, one-step, self-defence, breaking and coaching skills.
On Sunday we hosted the British Taekwondo Sport Referees Department for a Referee Refresher Practical Course. This provided a fun opportunity for our players to get a chance to be back on the mats. We had 13 volunteer players (9 Bluewave, 2 DTA, 2 T-TKD) ranging from novice peewee to dan grade seniors providing practice matches for 3 hours for the referees. A total of over 25 matches on one ring and 3 hours of scenario practice on another ring. Some of players even managed to stay on for the Sport Class afterwards, well done!
We finished off then with the All Ages / Family class with a record turnout for this class.
