We have made a few adjustments to the club calendar. The dates below have been changed to avoid clashes between events.
1. Next kup grading (for all kup grades) will now be on Sunday 11th March rather than Saturday 10th March. No changes to times.
2. Next competition poomsae training will be Saturday 10th March rather than Saturday 3rd March. Usual times.
We also have a couple of important new dates.
Grandmaster Shin Byeong Hyun, 9th dan and Head Instructor of the Chungdokwan in Korea will be visiting the UK and Ireland in April. There will be a seminar in Kingston with Grandmaster Shin on Sunday 15th April from 2.00-5.00pm. This is a great chance to train with Grandmaster Shin and alongside other clubs from the Chungdokwan tradition. This is particularly important for dan grades and those working towards a dan grading in 2018. Cost will be just £20.
We will also have Grandmaster Shin visiting Bluewave on Tuesday 17th April. We do not normally have classes on a Tuesday evening but we will run an open age/grade class that evening from 6.00-8.00pm with Grandmaster Shin. There will be a small charge of £5 for Bluewave members and £15 for non-Bluewave members to help cover the costs of the event. One of the strengths of Bluewave is our direct link to Korea,the home of Taekwondo, so let’s have a good turnout for GM Shin.
