Bluewave would like to congratulate Sian Reilly on her promotion to Class 2 National Referee. Sian has been working very hard as Class 3 Corner Judge which was recognised locally by her success as Basingstoke and Deane Junior Official of the Year at the 2014 Sport Awards.
At the same time time as our competitors have been training hard for the National Championships and working on their seeding points at many competitions, Sian was also taking part in the selection events for officials. Over the last few months she has judged at tournaments in Liverpool, Doncaster and Barnsley to name just a few and her performances at these events led to her invitation to officiate at next weekend’s National Championships and her invitation to attend the Class 2 National Referee training course in Manchester last weekend. This was a demanding full two day course with both theory and practical examinations under the watchful eye of GB’s top referees. Sian successfully passed all her examinations and was promoted to Class 2.
