After a careful review of the club direction it has been decided that we need to set different directions in Overton and Basingstoke to allow us to fully develop the training in each venue. Therefore from the 1st April 2014, OBTKD will be restructured into two separate but collaborating clubs. Each club will then be able to develop its own identity and approach so that we can really continue to provide the very best training we can for our members (and hopefully many new members) in both Overton and Basingstoke building on what we have achieved over the last sixteen years.
The two clubs will continue to collaborate in many areas and all the instructors are keen to encourage cross-training between Overton and Basingstoke, so regardless of where you train today you will continue to be welcome at all the classes. The two new clubs will be known as Overton TKD and Bluewave Korean Martial Arts.
Classes will continue to be held out of the existing venues at Overton Primary School and Vickers Business Centre and the teams leading both areas are already expanding the classes on offer so we can bring you more opportunities to train.
We thank you for your support over the last 16 years ago and hope that you can work with us to build a bright future for Taekwondo in both Overton and Basingstoke.
