Great demo at CarFest today. The OBTKD weather curse struck again and the rain appeared but at least this time we were indoors – just very wet from the walk from the car park!
The nine students (Sam, Alex W, Sian, Lucy, Amy, Alex S, Bradley, Ella and Amber) treated the audience, of good 150, to a demonstration of poomsae, self-defence, one step, sparring and of course breaking. The team had practiced hard during the last few weeks to focus on this demo and it showed. Excellent job everyone.
After the demo, we tried something new and invited people to take part in a short taster session to try it for themselves. This really worked and we had 30 enthusiastic children get their first taste of Olympic Taekwondo. Definitely something we will be doing again in the future.
